World Heritage bid prospectus
Funded by the local government partnership, with contributions from the Victorian Goldfields Tourism Executive, this project brought together the compelling brand and investment story for delivering the Central Victorian Goldfields World Heritage bid vision.

World Heritage bid media needs analysis
Funded by the local government partners, this project developed a broad-brush analysis of the audio-visual media collection and production needs for the Central Victorian Goldfields World Heritage Bid in the short, medium and long term. This report is intended as a starting point for planning media production and distribution from the bid development through to World Heritage listing.

Draft proposed statement of outstanding universal value
Funded by Regional Development Victoria Loddon Mallee, this project developed an initial Statement of Outstanding Universal Value (SOUV) for testing by World Heritage experts and sharing the findings publicly. It is a brief draft summary of why the Central Victorian Goldfields is of international importance. A final SOUV will be developed as the bid progresses and will be the official statement adopted by the World Heritage Committee when placed on the World Heritage List.

Comparative analysis for the Central Victorian Goldfields
Co-funded by the City of Ballarat and the City of Greater Bendigo. This project compares places from around the world and within Australia with the Central Victorian Goldfields, providing evidence for why the Central Victorian Goldfields are the ‘best of the best’.

Sustainable Tourism product, infrastructure and investment priorities
Co-funded by Regional Development Victoria, Victorian Goldfields Tourism Executive, the City of Ballarat and the City of Greater Bendigo. This project delivers tools for local government, industry and community to help build the capacity of the region to deliver world-class visitor offerings and experiences and identify product, infrastructure and investment gaps. This includes the Happiness Index Survey, which has had over 1000 community responses between March and August 2021 to shape tourism investment that can best benefit local people across the region.
